Prognosis
For people with liver cancer the use a 5-year survival rate which refers to the percentage of patients who live at least 5 years after their diagnosed. Of course, many of these people will most likely live much longer than 5 years but the five-year relative survival rates assume that some people will die of other causes. Survival rates are mainly based on previous outcomes of large numbers of people who had the disease but knowing the stage of the patients cancer is important in estimating their outlook. But lots of other factors may affect a person's outcome, like a person's overall health and how well the cancer responds to treatment. But even when you take these factors into account, survival rates are still just rough estimates at best.

Researchers have recently discovered that coffee drinkers have a less likely chance of getting liver cancer. It shows that coffee perks up liver enzymes and may cut cirrhosis and liver cancer. It also states that people who drink one cup daily have a 23% less likely chance of having been diagnosed for liver cancer. And people who drink 2 or more cups daily have a 55% less likely chance of having been diagnosed for liver cancer. Another thing that may aid in helping you have less of a chance of getting liver cancer is eating healthy foods. It becomes hard to find food that is good for your liver. But since the liver helps in getting rid of bad chemicals in the body,foods that are high in fiber will keep the liver not only healthy but it will aid in rebuilding the liver and the damaged liver cells.
Nanotechnology
The usage of nanotechnology in cancer treatment offers the possibility of destroying tumors with little damage to healthy tissue and organs. It can also help with detection and elimination of cancer cells before they even get a chance to form tumors. Most efforts to better improve the cancer treatment through nanotechnology are still at the development stage. However the effort to make these treatments a reality is highly focused.
